The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho

Hi Neelima,

I agree with you...the book is a wonderful one and one of my favorites too. I particularly love the line - "When you want something, the entire universe conspires to help you achieve it."

A simple story with a very simple thought, but a depth of meaning hidden within it.

Regards,

Roli

When the bathroom door becomes the Berlin Wall

Somehow, the bathroom is the last refuge of the ladies(me included... ). While most of the time I end up crying in the bathroom, providing the much-needed catharsis to my pent-up anger at the argument, sometimes women use this as a weapon against theso-called stronger sex.

Importance of being a woman

Aditi,
Nice blog. I am a stay-at-home mom...quit after my baby was born. Have been at home for 2 yrs now, but the difference it is making to my daughter is worth the loss in career. Being a mom is a full-time 24/7 job. Do read my blog about stay-at-home moms...

Random Reflection:The Magic of Enid Blyton

Wow...lovely memories whizzed in my brain...
The game was lacrosse...the one played with a net in St.Clare's and Malory Towers.

After Enid Blyton, I moved on to Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys...but never could get over Famous Five and their sumptous picnic feasts!

Lovely blog.

Regards,
Roli

what to do with the cynical people

Nice post. The best way to deal with cynical people who constantly try to run you down and make fun of your dreams and hopes is to gnore them. Remember that If you think, you can. Ultimately what matters is whether you believe in yourself or not.

What if God was one of us?

Yes...this song is one of my all-time favorites.I love the line - Nobody calling on the phone, except for the Pope maybe in Rome. You should also watchBruce Almighty - it's a movie with a similar rationale.
